Adopt A Famliy

You can assist The INN in creating a more inviting environment for the Guests at the family shelters or you can assist in the transition of a family into permanent housing. Two in particular projects include creating or gathering items for a hospitality basket or for a house warming basket.

Hospitality Basket
Upon entering the shelter each family is given a hospitality basket, which includes a body towel set for each family member and all toiletries needed (toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, soap, shampoo & conditioner, lotion, body moisturizer, brush & comb set). Hospitality baskets can be created for a family of 2 up to a family of 5.

House Warming Basket
Upon the family moving into their own apartment, The INN provides the family with a house warming basket, which includes a laundry basket filled with items for the kitchen and the bathroom. For example, oven mitts, kitchen towels, sponges & scrub brush, dish detergent, paper towel (1-2 rolls), can opener, serving spoons, cutting board, measuring cup, toilet paper (1-2 rolls), hand soap and lotion.

Other Items needed for The INN’s Long Term Housing Units

• Kitchen Items: Pots and pans, glasses, plates, coffee mugs, silverware, cooking utensils, cutting board, coffee maker, etc. ).
• Bathroom Items: Shower rod and curtain, bath mats, small garbage pail, towels, etc. ).
• Bedroom Items: Bedding – including sheets, pillows and blankets.
• Miscellaneous Items: Vacuum cleaner, outside garbage pail.
